    Product Description

Benfotiamine is a synthetic, fat-soluble, S-acyl derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1). Its chemical name is S-benzoylthiamine O-monophosphate. Benfotiamine is similar to thiamine (vitamin B1), but is absorbed by the body better than thiamine. The body changes benfotiamine to thiamine. It has very low solubility in water or other aqueous solvents.

    Function

Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble vitamin B1 derivative that is thought to have the following benefits and applications:

    • Controls Diabetes and Lowers Blood Sugar Levels: Benfotiamine is used as a supplemental nutrient to treat diabetes and helps improve blood sugar metabolism and reduce the risk of neuropathy caused by diabetes.
    • Neuroprotective effects: Benfotiamine helps protect nerve cells from oxidative stress and diabetes-induced damage, thereby reducing the risk of neuropathy.
    • Anti-inflammatory effect: Benfotiamine has a certain anti-inflammatory effect, helping to relieve inflammatory symptoms and improve chronic inflammation-related diseases.
    • Prevents vascular damage: Benfotiamine is thought to help reduce vascular damage caused by high blood sugar, which is beneficial to cardiovascular health.
